Importing ErWIN files

We are converting from ErWIN 3.0 to Visio and I am having a problem importing ErWIN ERX files. Although all the Visio docs say you can import these files, I get an "invalid ERX file format" error instantly as soon as I try. The ERX file can be imported by ErWIN no problem. The database is fairly large and complex, but I don't see how that should be a problem.

Has anyone else run into this problem, and if so, what was the solution?
