I'm using Premiere 6.5. I have imported audio from a minidisc, captured in CoolEdit, into Premiere. I save the audio as an .mp3 and a .wav. I add this audio to my video. I have unlinked the original audio, from the video, and deleted it. Once I have synced my minidisc audio and video, I try to export to Windows Media File. I get the error "missing codec"

Is there an update or file that will install the necessary codec, and can you import audio straight into Premiere.
I use cooledit right now to capture the audio from minidisc.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Hm, I seem to recall the minidisc codec is something like ATRAC and is very tightly locked up and proprietary. I record on minidisc, but when I transfer to a computer, I just do so using the soundcard's audio input and the minidisc player's output line. As long as I filter it well, it sounds very good.

I don't bother inputting via Premiere, I use either the Sound Recorder or Goldwave (as I edit in Goldwave, it makes sense for me to collect audio data using it).

Cheers,
