Import font, and is it legal?

So in Vista, how come I cant find an import or install under the fonts folder? Have I lost my already fading mind?
And then with that, do fonts need licensing? Seems to be a topic of big discussion around the water cooler. I do have this -

Yes, fonts do have licenses. Most of the time we get our fonts with various programs. Sometimes we find them free on the web. And sometimes we get them from someone else who got them with a different program. The first two are legal, the last one may not be. The link you included looks like it pretty much nails it. There is also this:

As for being able to install new fonts, specifically what happens when you try?

hee hee silly me...guess it would help if I right clicked on the font and clicked install..
AS for the font thing, guess it could be a sticky wicket if not too careful. And I wonder if there are Font Police out there...
