How is Fault Tolerence implemented in Windows 2000 Server ? In Windows NT we have things like disk mirroring, stripping with Parity etc what is the equivalent of these in win2k.

The same things exist in Windows 2000 and can be implemented with the Disk Management msc. You can also access it from Computer Management, Storage, Disk Management. The tool is fairly similar to the old one in NT4. They pretty much use the same names, except a 'Volume set' is now referred to as a 'Spanned volume'.

Windows 2000 has a new concept called a 'Dynamic Disk' which allows you more options for extending existing volumes. Often, you will be required to upgrade an existing 'basic disk' to a dynamic disk before you can implement changes.

Hope this helps,
