Hey any one here know once you get xp to boot across different platforms, how do i deploy chipsets ?, the problems is we have 2000 machines and several chipsets like 20 proabably, i dont want to touch everymachine or make an image per chipset any ideas are welcome thanks.

From the Intel site:

"Due to an issue with the Microsoft parser, you must use different .inf files in the i386 folder for XP than the XP/2003 base driver .inf. These modified .inf files can be downloaded from Download Finder. Download E1000325.exe for the PRO/1000 adapters and E100B325.exe for the PRO/100 adapters.

1. You will need the files from the main driver webpack (PRO2kxp.exe) for the $oem$/.../../nic folder.
2. You will need the e100x325.exe webpack .inf file to put in the i386 directory."

ok..are they saying add the INF file to the C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386
or $oem$\drivers\nic?

Do NOT put the single .inf file into the $oem$/.../../nic folder.

See the instructions in the download.

Ok...this article says its for RIS, it really doesnt say anything about sysprep...

Here is what i did i downloaded the e100b325.exe, then copied the INF to my driver location, which i have specified in OemPnP....\drivers\gx260\nic, which it replaced the existing one that was there, I hope im doing this right, it still isnt working...if i am doing it wrong please explain, my stupidity to me...LOL.. and im getting confused on the i386 folder, which one are they talking about there is like 4 of them in windows....i think today is a bad day to being doing this since im taking the CCNA cert tonight....UGHHHHH...LOL
