images showing up off stage

I have a demonstration where we are moving items on and off the stage on a regular basis. There is no problem with this in the HTML version, but in the stand alone version, these off stage items are visible.

What I want to do is launch this from a CD in full screen with the movie being shown at 100% and none of the off stage items showing. I would use a mask, but we needed to use device fonts throughout to simulate text. Do you know of any other way to hide the items that are not on the stage?

what color is your background?..take that color and make blocks around the edges of your movie on a layer above everything else..a blanket so to speak!!hiding the tweens and so forth..

easy way....
