Illegal commands on SQL jobs

I am getting illegal commands when backing up SQL db's only... have flat file backups on the server that complete but only the SQL jobs are failing.

makes no sense to me that this would happen only to a particular job since it is Tape Engine related, but anyways,

Make sure ARCserve is current, got-a-have the latest Tape Engine update on there.

Also get rid of the OS tape device and media changer drivers those are killers for ARCserve.
