illeagal operation..msvcrt.dll

i'm working on a network with NT4 servers and Win'95 workstations and have 2 users who all of a sudden get the "illegal operation" message, and the details tab refers to a "MSVCRT.DLL" that only seems to effect Outlook "98.(it closes Outlook '98)
any suggestions?

Have you recently installed any new programs? If so, the .dll you mentioned might have been overwritten. Refer to microsoft kb article Q221946 on how to dl the newer version.
Might be a start!
