Trying to load web mail with vmpro R10. IIS is installed on server 2008 R2, but when you try to install it says IIS is not present and it aborts install. Is it not compatible with IIS R7 maybe? I can't seem to find great documentation verifying what version it supports or not. Any advice is appreciated.

Never mind. Although it showed IIS as installed a couple of the extensions for it were not. I installed those and now vmpro is loading.

Can you list the extensions that needed to be installed, I run into this a lot and usually just back up and make it a compact installation instead of typical

We ended up checking everything under IIS. I know it is probably not necessary, but that's what the client decided they wanted to do. I would also be interested in finding out exactly what extensions are needed if anyone out there knows.

This is why Apllication server is recommended.

The whole system, including operating system is installed form a boot disk with minimal user intervention, it can even be installed as a VM if desired.
All pre requisites and applications are installed (even if you do not require them YET) & configured during the build. No possibility of errors, only minor custoiation req. and no danger of Microsoft updated breaking things.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
