iis default Document

I am having a problem with teh default document not comming up on my sight i have two different sites in defined one is a simple one page site just to have some thing up right now and the next is the one we are going to take the place of that one soon but when i stop the one page site and start the new one the default document does not want to load i made sure all the settings are the same even put some basic html page up and they will not load but if i type in the right address it will work (ie

http://www.****.com/home.asp

) but if i put the home.asp in the enable default document it will not work unless you type out the full url any ideals that my be able to help me get this fix would be great

Are these two separate sites in Internet Services Manager?
If so, When you defined the second site, did you tell it to use host headers? Or are you going in and modifying the Default Web Site Home Directory and Documents?

the sites are not running at the same time one site is now taking the place of the old site both used the same url
