IIS 5 Isolation mde

We have migrated our web sites to a new dedicated server running Windows 2003.
Unfortunately we experienced problems running the web sites in IIS 6 and the server hung.
We have since changed the IIS to IIS 5 isolation mode.
It appears that Cdonts that we installed is incompatible with IIS 5 isolation mode.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Also what would cause the web sites not to run in IIS 6 but run fine in IIS 5?
