If Statement with an "OR" 1

I am trying to figure out how to write an if statement with an "OR" but I can't remember the syntax. Can somebody help me about with this? I thought it was

&& - AND
|| - OR

but I guess I am wrong. Any suggestions?

just use the word OR

if (this OR that) THEN

blah

End if
