I it possible to make this equation work in access????

if item type =0 and item class =41 then next p
 
Under what circumstances? What is "p" ? Are type and class fields in a table?

What you describe is probably "do-able", logically and semantically, but I don't understand enough about the exact circumstances where you would apply this.

Yes type and class are in the table. We are querying a product structure (bill of materials) and "p" is the raw material component that goes into making the type "0" class "41" item.
