IExplorer will not launch when previewing

Every time I try to preview the page I'm working on, Internet Explorer will not launch, instead, whenever I use F12 or File menu to preview, Dreamweaver creates TMP0.htm and MFC---.TMP files in the directory where the original file is located. I have gone through the preferences time and time again and everything seems to be in order. Am I doing something wrong, maybe missing files?

Go in edit - preferences (or just ctrl+u ) and then check the browser that is chosen as your primary browser

I've already done that, and regardless of specified browser (primary or secondary, IExplorer or Netscape), it still does not launch.
