IE window wont close

Hi,

I have IE 6 on my Win XP Pro machine. In the past 2 days, I am not able to close the explorer window after I open it. Each time, I am having to do Ctrl+Alt+Del and then End Task.

Couple of days ago, I downloaded a pop-up stopper which turned out to be useless since it wouldnt let me open IE. Since then I have had this issue with IE. I am not sure if it is just a co-incidence or the two are related.

I appreciate any help I can get!

It is almost assuredly a BHO - Browser Helper Object - that is causing this.

faq608-4650 will sort the issue, and likely your pop-up blocker will work again as well.
