We have had intermittent issues all week with this! When going to any website, it always routes to the Webrx website! Then the problem goes away after a few minutes. But, daily it has been happening. We have 2 sites and when putting in the other sites DNS, everything works fine. We have rebooted our DNS several times. Sprint (our ISP) has no clue. It is the strangest thing! There is nothing strange on our routers! The other site had someone have the same problem yesterday. I was also talking to someone that said that they were having the same problem at home. Anyone hear anything about this??? HELP!

sounds like your browser is being hijacked

Adaware:
I'm assuming you're running windows.
alternatly you can run msconfig and go to the startup tab.

Review what's starting up at boot time, and disable anything you don't "KNOW" or that looks weird

*tip: blank listings, or listing w/ typo's are not usually legitimate*

it may take a couple reboots, but you will find what's causing the problem, once it's identified isolate it's path and uninstall it (if it was part of a package) or delete it.

If you go with the manual route I'd also suggest you delete your /tmp/ files and temp-internet files (cache etc)

Assuming your running IE, you may want to strongly consider installing and running Firefox instead of using IE

Good Luck

It is not spyware. I have had people tell me that they are getting the same thing at home. I have also found other threads of people in other areas having the same problem. My only thought is that the internet is getting hacked. We have 2 networks both running their own DNS and one site can have a problem with a site and the other one isn't. It is really strange. I am just waiting for someone to reply to see if anyone else is having this problem.

> My only thought is that the internet is getting hacked

Not likely. *opting not to get into the specifics of exactly why it's not likely* You mentioned that:
["When going to any website, it always routes to the Webrx website!"] I'd guess you're running windows and Internet Explorer. .. Those 2 facts point to spyware/malware as only a small group of surfers see this, rather than everybody (which would be the case if a *internet hack* had taken place.

*unless*

< I have had people tell me that they are getting the same thing at home. >

Do you know if they were sprint users as well?

Seen this many times before and it definately looks like spyware.

Along with Ad-aware you can also try spy sweeper.

I've run both of these programs and each one has found spyware that the other hasn't.

And try Spybot Search and Destroy - that found things that Ad-aware didn't for my users. HijackThis will give you info on your computer setup as well.

It can't be spyware because it happened on my machine too and it was only for a short time, then everything went back to normal. I have run adaware and spybot and they didn't find anything. I am running XP with the firewall and very rarely get spyware anymore. Thanks for your replies. I guess this one will go down as a mystery. Today seems fine and I haven't gotten any calls from anyone in the company...so it has seemed to go away.
Thanks again
