ie explorer error??

when ie explorer is launched a error comes up says the following.
iexplorer not a valid date

This comes up everytime you launch for the browser.
How can this be fixed?

When ie explorer is launched, the following message pops up

iexplore
(red circle with a x in it)
"is not a valid date"
OK icon

After you acknowledge OK, it comes up again. After the second acknowledge, IE explorer browser finally comes up. The browser works fine. After you exit out of the browser, the desktop has this message again.
