IE errors out 1

We have a few PC's on our network in which Internet Explorer randomly errors out and quits. They are completely updated with Windows updates and are using the latest version of IE. Anyone have any thoughts on what else might be causing this?

Have you tried any of the Spy and Malware removal tools, such as those mentioned in "What are Good Virus/Spyware?Update/Firewall Practices?" faq779-5240

Try the "Hijack This" software mentioned there, it will show you any BHO or the like that are started when IE starts.

It would be incredibly helpful if you wrote down the specific error message and posted it back.

As a start, in IE, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, uncheck the use of "Third-party browser extensions."

Exit all IE sessions and test again. If the issue disappears, the advice by Greg above is indicated strongly.
