IE Enhanced Security won't disable.

I've logged into our Terminal Server at work (Windows srver 2003) and disabled "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security", and when I start IE this is confirmed via "...is currently not enabled."

However, when I load up Microsoft Project 2003, I get the following error message:

"The command is attempting to use a webpage from the site gbui://blank.htm/. You have no identified this site as a trusted site in Internet Explorer."

Then I hit OK, and it continually popsup foreveer saying the same thing, but different webpage:

"The command is attempting to use a webpage from the site gbui://mainpage.htm/. You have no identified this site as a trusted site in Internet Explorer."

This is WITH "Caution: Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration is not enabled"

Anyone have any idea? Project 2003 KEEPS showing that message, and wanting you to hit OK, and never loads before of this. I need to ctrl-alt-del and kill WINPROJ.exe

Have you tried adding the site to your trusted sites? Add it with a * such as

http://*.sitename.com.

The site that Microsoft Project 2003 isn't a site. I've tried to put gbui://blank.htm/ AND gbui://mainpage.htm/ into the trusted sites in IE, but it still changes nothing.

Is project set to use the same proxy info as the workstation?

Well Project won't load, so even if it was, I wouldn't know. I've tried disabling the proxy in IE but it made no difference.

Hi,

We switched off IE enhanced security in Add/Remove programs and it worked for Admin.

But it still kicked in for users.
To remove all together we had to alter local machine Group Policy:-
User configuration>Windows settings>IE maintenance>Security>Security Zones and Content Rating. In the next screen we imported current settings. Users can now browse web sites OK

Thanks, I've fixed the problem. When I uninstalled it (needed to to fix some Term Server issues), I installed it, then uninstalled it, then reinstalled Project, and it's all good now.

WE have the same problem running Project 2003 on two stand alone workstations (gbui://blank.htm/ etc etc. So far we are unable to solve...even MS is drwaing a "blank" so to speak. Any ideas?
