IE 6 address bar gone, how to get it back?

IE 6 address bar gone, how to get it back? this is such a pathetic question but the part of IE where you type in a url is missing. I cannot find how to get it to reappear.

Just click View - Toolbars and make sure the Address Bar is checked.

that was the first thing I did , but still not visible??? need to navagate@!$#@!$#@!$!!!!!!!!! what could cause this?

thanks all. the was some websearch tool embedden in the broswer probably from spyware. I unistalled it and got my address bar back
