IE 5.5 taking over C:¦TEMP folder 2

I am having a problem on several PC's where IE 5.5 will take over the TEMP folder and not let any other program use it. This causes a number of issues with other programs. Can anyone offer any assistance on this?

Fadius,

Delete everything in the c:\windows\temp even if you have to do it in DOS.

Then, in Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options, click th Settings button, click the Move Folder button and choose c:\windows. Shutdown and restart.

I guess I forgot to mention that we are using Windows NT 4.0 build 5. Will this still work?

I don't run NT, on a Windows 2000 computer, the TIF directory is usually:
c:\Documents & Settings\YOUR NAME\Local Settings

Not sure if that applies to NT 4.
