Ideas for 'sharing' formula across reports, pre 9.0 ?

I will be writing and distributing quite a few reports that will often contain the same formula that I've written (many which are accessed via a custom UFL).

I know that 9.0 has an object repository, but I've developed my app in 8.5 and am curious to how users are going about the problem of making updates to formula across reports. It is near impossible to make the changes to each report seperately since the formula values change fairly often, and it is NOT possible to expose them as parameters for end user input, this MUST be hard coded.

I'm curious how people are handling this issue, and supporting an ever changing library of distributed reports in general, pre 9.0.

The search function on this site has been down for some time, so I apologize if there are previous threads.

Cheers,

Besides the option to copy and paste formulas across two opened reports, how about placing the "forbidden parameter" values in a database table where they get shared automatically...

rictorsan, did you ever find a way of doing this? I'm having the exact same problem. Running CR8.5
