Hello everyone. I was recently rummaging through some olf hardware and came across a that i had bought some time ago. The only problem is, my Mobo is not compatible with it: is there any sort of converter i can use to make it compatible with my mobo? please let me know any further information you would need in order to make a suggestion, thanks

is there a cheaper alternative? if not then please clarify this to me. thanks much [ponder]

You mentioned wanting a cheaper alternative. Well, you could hold onto the hard drive until you upgrade your system starting with a new motherboard. A new motherboard would likely already have the sata connector for your hard drive, hence you wouldnt have to buy anything extra to use your hard drive. That is as cheap as it gets, i think.

Good advice + great people = tek-tips

babathesheep,

Not sure what is economical to you, but these solutions can be found at many suppliers. It will allow you to use the drive.

2 SATA Port card less than $20US

Hope You Find This Useful
