My son has a 2 machine network with a DSL-router hub with an address of 192.168.1.1 He set up ICS, and the 2 computers can no longer see each other. In searching MS Knowledgebase, it appears that ICS only works with 192.168.0.x I've tried disabling the "1394" "hardware" and also tried uninstalling it, but simply disabling it doesn't allow the computers to work together, and when I uninstall it and restart the computer, it shows up again. I have both TCP/IP and NETBEUI installed.

Thanks for any help.

check you have "tcp\ip Internet connection sharing" listed along with your Netbeui.
if not uninsatll ICS then reinstall it.

Installed are:
1. Local area connection
Microsoft Client
File and Printer Sharing
Qos
TCP/IP - (I have it configured with a static IP, correct for the router/hub)
NETBEUI

2. 1394 (I think--I'm not at the computer now)
Microsoft Client
File and Printer Sharing
TCP/IP
