Can anyone please advise what Cross Swords Icon means in Outlook XP.

They appear against read receipts but normally read receipts have a different icon.

I've seen those swords before too. I think they are associated with some types of virus scanning, firewall, and encryption (PGP) softwares. Did they recently change? If so, was there a recent install or upgrade of any of the said softwares?

Why make it simple and efficient when it can be complex and wonderful?

This is a new install of Outtlok XP on a laptop.
However we do have Firewall software and third party mail Virus Scanning.
No new software has been loaded recently to change this.

My read receipts are in the same environment but do not have sword icons.

The only other suggestion I would have is to check the security settings and virus software version on the laptop, and make sure they have the appropriate settings.
