Hello Everyone,
I'm currently upgrading an IBM Thinkpad 600E Series laptop, and I currently have a minor issue that I haven't been able to correct. This laptop was previously running Windows 2000, the problem is with the intergrated modem, when you boot the laptop up it automatically prompts you that modem had failed to intitalize. My assumption was that a driver might have been corrupted and I figured that once I upgrade to Windows Xp pro, it would take care of the issue. I went to IBM.com and search for any issues or updated drivers need but no luck, XP pro should be able to update the driver, but I have already found that this is not the case. now I've also looked for updated bios and none of the bios address any issue or fix for the built in modem, so updated the bios at this point will not have any effect. If anyone has any soultions to this little problem that would be great. I will try to post more accurate info once I finish upgrading.
Sincerely,
Shaolin
