I do have 2 pcs of new xseroies machine with both configs.. and using 4 mx card for raid configuration, RAID 1 to more specific.
I have installed everything to machine 1 and im using raid one from the raid controller. i want to transfer my other disk to the machine 2, so that i wont do everything all over again, besides its an exact replica of the machine1. but everytime i move the second copy disk.. it gives me failing.. no disk to boot up? anyone got idea on how to do this step by step

thanks!

hi,
could you tell us the series, type and model ?

ex xSeries 235, 6091-6CG
The first is on big label (front top), the other in the S/N label (front bottom), near Serial/Number .

Are you sure this is the only SCSI adapter in the server ?

bye

Please confirm my understanding of what you are trying to do. You have two identically configured servers - one with 2xHDDs installed and configured with the Operating System installed, one without. You are trying to move one of the HDDs from the configured server and install it in the unconfigured server and import the configuration to run the server. Next, I'm assuming you will add a new HDD to each server to rebuild the "failed" HDD so that both servers will be up and running with an Operating System.

If that accurately describes what you are trying to do, you can accomplish it by first restoring the RAID controller in the second server to factory defaults, then importing the configuration from the HDD on that server. Both tasks can be accomplished via Ctrl+I when prompted at boot. If your configuration is not accurately described here, please elaborate on what you have installed. Specifically, I do not understand what you mean by "every time I move the second copy disk...".
