This isn't what asked but...
Find a competent TV repair shop with a technician older that 40. Let them do the repirs for you. They have access to the manuals and the parts. Most monitors can be repaired for under $65.00. But don't spend more than that as used monitors are a glut on the market since 17" has become the more or less defacto stnadard.
