I have a client on a BCM400. They were using the i2050 softphone. The user got Windows Vista and the softphone wouldn't work.

Now he downloaded an upgrade patch to R3 softphone. The phone worked for about a month or 2 and we get a license failure error? What is this? How do we fix?

I HATE VISTA!!

(We've uninstalled/reinstalled, rebooted, etc.)

Thanks.

I2050 softphone v3 has a 30 days expiry. You need to buy license for it as well as setup a license server. You better use v2 which do work on Vista. There's a few thread on it.

I though V2 only worked with XP?

It works with Vista. One of my co-worker installed it last month. The only issue was a distorted sound but got fixed by adjusting the audio quality in config settings.
