I want to stop my kids from visiting a specific website

Can I setup my computer so it doesnt allow visits to certain websites?

If you're running Internet Explorer and XP Pro, go to Tools/Internet Options/Security. Click on the "Restricted Sites" icon and then on the tab "Sites".

In "Add website to the zone" put the web address in and click on Add.

you can use restricted stes like fiol recommended, but it depends on the it-knowledge of your kids. there is child protection software available, i.e.

download hostmanager and add what sites you want to block

Hi,
You can edit the hosts file ( usually in Windows/System32/drivers/etc ) and add that domain with 127.0.0.1 as the IP address - that way when trying to access that site, nothing will happen.

Example:
