I want to restrict the MODEM?? 3

I want to set up a MODEM outbound only line to a specific number. I want this restricted to that number only. This will be used by a PC to connect to a device outside the PBX.

Can it be done and if so how?

just set the station up to hotdial that number. that way when that station goes off hook it will automatically dial that number.

I am also interested in the off hook auto dial. Where is that administered?

It's set up on the station form on the third page. First you have to set up an abbreviated dialing list for that station though. To do this, do change abbreviated-dialing personal xxxx, where xxxx is the extension. Under one of the dial codes, put in the number you want it to dial just as you would dial it from your phone. Then go to page three of the station form and set up list 1 as the personal list. Then under the Hot Line Destination, enter the list number and dial code from before. When the phone goes off hook,it will dial the number.

Yeah, that was good, I just set it up and it works perfect. Just took me a second to realize you were talking about page 3 on an analog station, not a digital station.

Could be a small problem with hot-line for modem - "no dial tone" message. You will be forced to cancel wait for dial tone.

More clear way is to set a special COR for the modem station with only one ARS analysis string enabled (Using FRL or all-toll restrictions).
