I have final cut pro and need to partition my hard drive. So I basically need to learn how to partition my HD.And will I lose any programs or info in the partitioning process?

To partition your HD you'll need to run the disc setup app on the system CD. To start up from this CD you'll need to insert the MacOS install CD, restart your Mac while holding the C-buton. You'll have to initialise your HD completely so you'll lose your data. When you start up this app you can choose special (or options) and there you can create partitions. (Choose HFS+)and choose initialise. You'll have to reinstall your MacOS.
