There isn't, you might use a UFL for this in CR 7 if one exists, or you coudl write one.

An alternative would be to have the database return the name in a subreport or within the current dataset.

In refrence to my post of 9/12/03 I need to know the feature is avaialable in 9.0? I have since upgraded to 9.0. I had a couple of useful replies and suggestions and I appreciate the same.

In 9.0 there are special fields and one of them is File Author. If I need to display the name of the person who ran the report, can Crystal 9.0 provide me that option?
There is a Parameter Field. Does anyone know if a Parameter field Value can actualy display the name of user running the report?

Thanks in advance

You could have a parameter that asks the user to enter their name or ID. Nothing to stop them saying 'Mickey Mouse', of course.

Crystal doesn't provide such a special field.

You can write your own UFL (see instructions in faq149-1283) or purchase a 3rd-party UFL.

For a list of 3rd party tools for Crystal, see:

I recently added this functionality to my "CUT Light" UFL:
