I'm self taught out of necessity, flying by the seat of my pants Acess 2000 user. I don't know how to program.

I have a form on which I placed a subform. The subform is from a table- 1. Table 1 has a subdata sheet which is table-2.

When I place the table-1 subform on the form, it doesn't display the column with the + sign so I can't look at the subdata sheet from table-2.

Is there any way I can get the Table-1, subdata sheet and all, to appear on a form?

Thanks

First of all here is a scenario does your example follow this.
Suppose you have Customers table and Invoices Table
Customers Table is on the main form
Invoices Table is on the sub form
The two forms are linked in a child/master with CustID
So customer table has the following fields
CustID
Name
Address
City
etc.

Invoice Table has
CustID
Invoice Num
Date
etc.

Now when you click on a Customer it only shows his Invoices.
When you bring up another Customer the Invoices change to match his.

Is that what you want to do???
Have data from one table find only pertinent data from another???

Yes that's the scenario. Actually I didn't mention that I would want to enter data on the subdata sheet also. The subdata sheet would be used both to see what has already been entered for the customer and to add new information.

If you create a subform with a wizard, it will link the tables by the primary key. You should be able to edit/delete/add records in the form easily. Check the form properties under "Data".

You can do this one of 2 ways. You can use the wizard either way. Either make the two reports in advance and link them using the wizard, or have the wizard create the subreport for you.

Hope you read this and it helps.
