Hi,

We have 3 Metaframe 1.8 servers TS version. Two are load balanced serving one application farm and the third is a second application farm for testing apps.

Since adding the second application farm, clients are recieving 'IO error in connection' when trying to connect to Citrix.

I am sure this is a citrix browser issue. How do I resolve?

So do you have two farms or multiple servers in one farm serving different purposes?

Hi,

For each Farm place the IP addresses of the servers in your server location section on the client

If you are using Custom ICA Connections, use the IP addresses of the server for that farm/application for each icon.

Hope that helps,
Carl.

The clients have been configured that way. Any other ideas?

Hi,

Back to basics then:-

Can you ping each server from the PC
Can you log in as Administrator and connect
Can you log in as you and connect
Can you create a .ica file and does this work?
Can you telnet to a server with 1494 as the address and get ICA back?

Can't think of anything else so will let you answer the above!

Cheers,
Carl.

yes, yes, yes, yes and yes. I should mention that Citrix have not got a knowledgebase solution for this and so I was hoping someone else has actually experienced it.

We had this issue connecting over a firewall. We had to open up the ports on the firewall (8080 and 1494) and list each individual server in the access list.

hope this helps :)
