I need to remove my windows firewall to run a program, but when i go to control panel, network connections. Nothing appears....?
It used to work fine.
Can anyone help me out?

Stop the Windows Firewall service using the services applet in computer management.

It is what it is!!

To Turn off the Windows Firewall, go to the Network Connections Dialog. Right Click on your connection and select properties. Click on the Advanced Tab and then click the Settings Button under the Windows Firewall heading. Then set the firewall to off.

If the windows firewall is your only firewall then I would recommend adding an exception to the Firewall to allow this software access to the internet. You can do this by clicking on the Exceptions Tab then clicking on Add Program.

Well, when i go into network connections, nothing appears. So i have nothing to click on, but that is the way i used to do it.

If you are using Service Pack 2 then there should be an Icon for Windows Firewall in the Control Panel, you can then follow the instructions above.
