I Need Code That Will Open An Exist Excel File From a Cmnd Btn in Word

Help please! I've tried everything I can think of to code a Command Button in Word (ver. 2000) that, when clicked, will open a specified existing Excel file. I've managed to get a new Excel Workbook to open, and I've managed to get a READ-ONLY existing Workbook to open. I need an edit-able Excel file (any existing file I specify in the code) to open. Does anybody out there know the complete code for this? Your knowledge and advice would be very much appreciated.
