Hi, Guys
Recently Im facing several problems with my laptop (Dell Inspiron9400 2Gb ram Intel CentrinoDuo 2.5Ghz)it seems that there is a new user who disable keystrokes, internet connections, settings, audio, modem adapters security settings etc.

Here is the symptoms:
1.I can't copy,move or paste programs
2.I can't install new programs (it says my Windows installer is either safe mode or corrupted)
3.No Network connections Icons
4.No user account icons it just a blank screen
5.No Audio and Wireless adapters ( I looked in device Manager for those and they are active double click on them I never get any properties from those adapters)
6.No drop and drag function
7.No internet access
8.Usually my computer to initiate takes less than 45 sec now takes more than 2min no antivirus and resident (avast features) presence in my taskbar.

I already tried to look for win32Blaster I ran the tool no virus found. I ran a virus scan (Avast with the latest definitions) no viruws found.

Here is my HIjack this log:

Thank you for your help it is really well appreciated
have a nice day

Do you know what these programs/files are?

C:\Program Files\Stanton\FinalScratch\ScratchAmpControl.exe
C:\DOCUME~1\NHGusan\LOCALS~1\Temp\clclean.0001

Are you able to logon as another user and not experience these problems?

What is going on in your Event Viewer?

Try your malware scanning from Safe Mode.

Some general things to try.

See if System Restore will get you back to a restore point before your problem with Explorer.

Try Safe Mode (Do you have this problem in Safe Mode?).

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right-click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking. Select both boxes.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.

HOW TO: Verify Unsigned Device Drivers in Windows XP

If they don't work you could try repairing windows by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.

How to Perform an In-Place Upgrade (Reinstallation) of Windows XP (Q315341)

Thank you Linney for responding back

yeah I know those two programs

Final Scratch Audio Interface
C:\Program Files\Stanton\FinalScratch\ScratchAmpControl.exe
MAcrovision to detect software authentication to use sample cds for audio compositions
C:\DOCUME~1\NHGusan\LOCALS~1\Temp\clclean.0001

answering your questions
absolutely happens the ssame thing on safe mode, I ran System File Checker all my system files are intact and original very odd for my understanding
no problems running ChkDsk.

Right now I am thru my services when I want to start a couple services it says I don't have access to it or It can't initiate the group of services.

i think my last option is to operate an in place-upgrade. I can't find any solutions at the moment.

Thank you
Have a nice day

Have you added anything new prior to your problem? Tried rebooting under Last Good Configuration? You might also try downloading & running these free apps from:

They have an AntiRootkit as well as AV & AS.

Check out Windows Defender at:

I'm assuming all apps have been updated.

Hope this helps!

It sounds like it is really messed up with registry corruption running rampant. Your "Hijack This" log looks OK.

Even a repair install may fail to rectify the faults, in which case I recommend you first save any valuable data and consider a format and clean install. Hopefully I'm wrong and you can salvage the current install.

Thank you guys for your support, unfortunately I had to reformat my computer. Finally I got it back , I was thinking what exactly cause this error, I remembered I installed a Creative product for audio composition and messed it up my registry and Local Computer Services almost 45% of my services were disabled including plug n play, windows installer, anti-virus, com+ etc.

A really bad experience with this Creative products.

Thanks a lot for your help

Glad it is now up and running. It is never too late to consider a backup regime, I recommend the full Image type of backup.

I also recommend this program as a way of backing up and restoring the Registry should you ever need to do so.
