I know normal procedures to place a workstation onto any given domain. Is there a way to force workstation membership from the server?

I.E. I have a workstation that has been removed from the domain. The local wrksta admin password has been forgotten or lost. How can I get his workstation back onto the domain without disturbing the conifguration of the wrksta?
