I increased my number of .CAB files

I increased my number of .CAB files to 14. On a Scanreg\Restore it will only show 5. I tryed to import a Registry file through Registry Editor and no matter where I put the .CAB file it doesn't show. I know there is a program called CABREST I could use but I kind of like to do things without downloading a bunch of programs.

Another question is once I Import the .CAB what is the procedure to incorporate into the registry? Thanks in advance.

I assume you have Windows 98.

If you are trying to increase the number of backup copies of the registry backups from 5 to 14? If so, have a look at the article here

You'll need to remember the exact cab file names, becuase even though you've added more, only 5 will show up in the list.

Use Extract in the Windows\Command directory to extract the files manually.
