Every morning when I open a project in VS the application log records this error.

"aspnet_wp.exe could not be started. The error code for the failure is 80070545. This error can be caused when the worker process account has insufficient rights to read the .NET Framework files. Please ensure that the .NET Framework is correctly installed and that the ACLs on the installation directory allow access to the configured account."

This happens every morning. If I reboot in the middle of the day everything is OK. This makes absolutly no sense. When I reinstall the FW it works again.

Help anyone.

Thats not it. ASPNET already has specified permissions.

The fact that it's happening every morning makes me wonder what happens at night or at boot in the AM that's causing the installation to go crazy. I'd check for something like a scheduled process or network update or something, that's damaging or corrupting or blocking the files at night. If you leave the computer on all night, have you tried powering it down when you leave & then power up in the morning & see if the same thing happens (or vice versa, if you shut down at night, leave it up all night)?

does the USERS account have those same permissions..as stated in your original post it's a permission issue.

If all your permissions are set correctly then go to add and remove programs and remove the .net frameworks that you installed. after that reboot and donot install from your cd etc. instead do a windows update and let the update install the frameworks. see if that works.
