Hello All,

I made a fresh install of my PC (P-III + ATIradeon7500 ... etc.) and when the WinXP setup Interface are finding for devices installed the PC hangs with a several lines green and black.

I unplugged the AGP Video card and the PC install was excellent!!

Later I try to install the Video card again and Windows doen't want to start.

When I start as Safe Mode, I can enter to windows XP without problems. And the I installed the lasted drivers for ATI to WinXP. But the same error is still.
Also the BIOS drivers are at highest level.

This happens with windowsXP/2003. but with windows 2000 the PC starts but after a few minutes it shows a blue screen and memory dumps and restart itself.

Please what can I do?

Thanks you.

If you have onboard video and wish to upgrade to a separate video card, a general rule of thumb is to disable the onboard video to avoid conflicts. You do this through the BIOS which can be accest by hitting the "delete" key or "F1" key when you first turn on the computer. Also, make sure that any "Video Shadowing" is disabled.

If that doesn't work, I got a few far fetched ideas about what could be wrong.

Hello GrowingHaze,

I already did switch the BIOS settings so AGP is enabled and the Video onboard is disabled. But it still fail.

Thanks you.

In the Bios you should enable ....IRQ for VGA, though.

Andy.
