i have my original product key for win2k, but no disk...can i use any?

am i able to use any win2k cd, or does it have to be the specific disk that came with the key?

I'm not so sure any disk will work. If your code is from an OEM version, I think you'll need an OEM copy for it to work. Same if it's a retail version, you may need a copy of a retail version for it to work. I think. Haven't worked on Win2K much recently.
 
In addition to Win2K OEM versions and Full Retails as listed by Sival, there's also upgrade versions. They all have different CD Key codings.

Even if you are sure you have an OEM CD key, it is unlikely to work universally across all OEM disks.
