i have two laptops, one with a wireless network card that has internet access through one of the cell phone companies.
i am running windows 2000 and want to share the internet connection with another laptop.
i figure i have to create a wireless network, and then setup a connection to a wireless network on the other laptop.
i looked online and found this:
a little down the page is says:
1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
2. On the Windows Setup tab, double-click Internet Tools.
3. Click to select the Internet Connection Sharing check box, and then click OK.
4. Click OK, and then follow the instructions on the screen to run the Internet Connection Sharing wizard.
The only problem is I don't have a windows tab on the add/remove programs window.
towards the top of the mskb page it says:
A primary computer, called a gateway, that provides network connectivity to the Internet. This computer must be running Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000, or Windows Me with Internet Connection Sharing enabled.
I have the windows 2000 pro disc here, so can anyone help me out?
thanks.
