I have a linksys router so that i can share the internet access in my house, the problem is that it changes my IP to some sort of universal number system, 160.xx.xx.xx, so that i can not connect to my computer through a server of ne sort. How can i get around that?

try enabling dhcp on your router, this should give your computer on your network the correct ip's. it should give the IP's in the 192.168.*.* range along with default gateway and dns server ip's or try giving your rotuer a static IP address or something like 192.168.1.2 and connect to the routers webinterface.

hth Im the little person who likes to help..
