I have a fatal error occured again

Hello everyone

I previously had problems with not being able to shut down now i cured that by doing a complete restore.Now i reinstalled norton anti virus 2001 and did a live update like you are prompted to do at the end of this it asks you to restart your comput so I did this and this is when I got the blue windows screen with the following message:
A fatal exception OE has occured at 017F:BFF8CC32
The curren application will be terminated.

What do I have to do to rectify this please????
