I had a crash and when we came back up some of the Windows XP machine keep disconnecting from the file server.

And the XP machines report what in Event Viewer?

The server is Netware 5

There are still event logs for the clients. Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer. Look in the System, and the Application logs.

Netware 5 also has logs. Check with the network admin.

Yes the log is usually the first thing I check. I just wanted to give more info about my enviroment

Do the logs show a reason for the disconnection?
Are the clients connecting at all?

What needs to be sorted is whether it is a hardware issue, or whether it is a software issue on the server, or whether it is a software issue on the clients. Or a combination.

All of these are possible. To begin with, why did the server crash?

Hi Once a program is installed in Windows XP if I accidentally try to reinstall it again under another user’s name, it will not work at all and it doesn’t let me uninstalled or reinstall it.
