Every time I try to print a copy of my stocks from msn portfolio, I get the error message

C:\Docume~1\Dougla~1\Locals~1\TEMP\temp.htm

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create association in the Folder Options Control Panel.

I went to Control Panel FOlder Options and I tried to assign A program to this file but I have no clue how to do it. Please give me a suggestion

Thanks

Hold down the Shift Key and right-click on the .htm file and select "Open With" from the menu. Htm files should normally open in a browser window (IE?). In the "Open With" window choose the program you want to open the .htm file (or browse to locate it). You can also make this the default program to open this type of file by clicking the Check Box at the bottom.

The procedure if carried out from Folder Options/ File Types.

To modify an existing file type.

Open Folder Options in Control Panel.

On the File Types tab, click the file type you want to change, and then click Advanced.

If necessary, modify the file type description, and click Change Icon to change the file type icon.

Under Actions, click the command you want to modify, and then click Edit, Remove, or Set Default. Click New to add a new command to the Actions list.

If you select "Open" as the command to Edit (Edit Tab) you should have a line similar to this -

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" %1

After you specify a new action, the corresponding command appears on the menu when you right-click a file with the associated extension.

In the New Action dialog box, you can click Browse to find the program you want to specify for the action.

All files that have the file name extension will use the icon and commands you specify.
