I can't open my Yahoo email 2

Hi I am a newbie to this forum but am reasonably competent at fixing anything that may go wrong with my PC but as I am not an expert this problem has me stumped.

I am running Windows ME on an Athlon Computer with NTL broadband 600K.

I don't have a problem surfing the Net and have Yahoo as my homepage.

When I click on the Mail tab, I can get to the page which tells me how many emails I have got but when I try to open them (ie click on you have twenty emails tab) I get cannot find the server.

Also on some websites the browser won't refresh the page, so I have to do that manually with the refresh tab at the top of the screen.

I don't think it's the Browser (though it might be)

as I downloaded explorer 5.5 thinking one of the microsoft updates may have upgraded it to explorer 6.

I also have hot swappable hard drives and I get the same problem no matter which one I use.

Could it be the Modem playing up or is there a problem with either Yahoo NTL or both.

Over 2 you please help.

Yahoo has a problem with IE, my Netscape browser (ver 4.77)works, hopefully somebody at Yahoo will wake up and smell the roses.....

Are you running/have you recently installed Zone Alarm?
ZA can cause problems hitting internet mail sites...if you're running it, turn it off and see if you still have the problem.
