When trying to log into LinkSys router, I am
taken to a "Sonic Wall Login site" Is this part of internet service priovider? I cannot access my router. What cam I do? Thanks
I have a strong feeling that maybe you are connecting to the SonicWALL Router IP instead of the Linksys (some routers default address conflicts with live addresses)
Try these steps to see if you are really connecting to the Linksys:
1) Go to Start > Run > type CMD
2) In the command prompt window type PING and add the linksys address (ex. 192.168.1.1)
3) When the command is finished type the command arp -a and match the Internet Address you earlier "pinged" with the Phyiscal Address.
4) Look on the bottom of the Linksys router for the MAC Address and see if it matches your "ARP" findings. if it doesn't then that Internet Address isn't the Linksys.
5) Take the network cable connected to the internet and plug your pc/laptop directly into the Linksys port. This should allow you to connect.
6) Choose a unique IP address for the Linksys.
Or maybe your puny Linksys Router got beat up by the Big Bad SonicWALL and SonicWALL took the Linksys IP... G-UNIT!!!! hehe.
